I really don't get the negative reviews and I'm glad I paid them no mind. For the record, I am not a family member nor friend of Barry's.  I did, however, just call him to come and repair my pool gate which was rusted.  He was there within an hour and gave me a great quote.  He was very fair, kind, considerate and professional.  He fixed that which I was sure was unfixable.  After the work, I realized I had a coupon from a mailer and even though I presented it at the end, he gladly accepted it.  I would use him again in a heartbeat.  Thanks, Barry! Had the pleasure of working with Barry on both my front and rear gates. When he met me for the estimate he was accurate, to the point, and very professional. I knew right away he was the guy for the job. And as advertised the estimate was indeed free; no bait and switch just a strait up thorough evaluation and inspection and within a few minutes he had the full breakdown for me of what it was gonna take and how much it would cost. Barry came out and gave us an estimate to rebuild a gate that had been destroyed in a fire.  He was very nice and efficient.  The new gate looks great, opens and closes with ease and was build in a beautiful red wood.  Next, we will hire him to repair some other holes in the fence.  We were very pleased with the work. Barry came out to give and estimate 2 days after I called.  Her was very honest and only tried to repair  what was necessary.  He explained the pros and cons of different options.  His craftsmanship is top notch and he uses high quality materials.  He work fast and willing went beyond what was expected to make sure the job was done right. If you need a fence built or fixed you should call Barry. Pricing was fair.  Not the cheapest but not the most expensive.  Key is the job will be done right. Open

I've used Barry twice in the last 3 months and both times I was very pleased.  When I decided to write this positive review, I decided to read his negative ones to see what differences existed. I did not experience any of the "negatives" that other reviewed detailed. No vulgarity. No yelling. No rudeness. I found him rather pleasant. Admittedly, he does expect to start the work that you desire at the time he gives his free estimate. At least that's the way he worked with me. I guess that could be seen as efficient, since he works alone and doesn't have to come once to estimate and come back to work. He just starts working. He carries a wide range of supplies in his van so he can deal with whatever he encountered. Again, at least that's the way it worked with me. The quality of his work is excellent. He welded some new sections of wrought iron fencing to my existing fence and you can't see any difference with what already exists. The 2nd time he did some cement work in addition to wrought iron work so everything would look perfect. I recommend him based on my experiences. Open

I found Amerial through a Home Improvement guide and gave them a call. Bary explained over the phone that he would drive over and do the estimate for free, but would then want a decision on the spot whether to do my fence repair. Seemed like a fair deal to me,and given the positive reviews I gave it a shot. He showed up 10 minutes early. He pointed out that my fence did not need the expensive section replacement I expected, since the problem turned out to be hinges warping. However, with some welding he could replace the hinges and make all my gates fully functional. He seemed very competent, and gave a quote that was more than I liked but less than I feared, so I agreed. Expert repair work, just as promised. All my gates swing freely now, as they probably did when first installed. I am fully satisfied that I got exactly what we agreed to, with no surprises. Bary mentioned that someone had been trolling him on social media. I can only say he was perfectly polite and straightforward with me, and I had no issues with him at all. He went on to at least one neighbor's house who came by and saw his work. I have no problem recommending him fully, or using him again, though I doubt I'll need any more work on these gates! Open

Bary has installed our gate system on two occasions and couldn't be more skilled and timely with his work. He is immensely knowledgeable and quick with his work. Had Barry come out about a month ago to look at my gate and he not only fixed it but a bit stronger since it was falling off its original post. He also added a wheel which makes it slide alot smoother and added an extra piece to the track because it had separated. Going to definitely call him up for future gate repairs Open
