A terrific experience during our remodel, when we were at our wit's end with all the construction and challenges good old San Buenavenutra permit process gives you. The city can just drain you, I don't get it. There's safety that we ALL have interest in, but come on are you serious it was a straightforward 120 sq ft add-on! The fun things we were waiting for like choosing furniture, paint, artwork and stone for the house was just another part of the process after the City put us through the wringer. So, when we finally got to the stone, oh my god, Mick was effing fantastic. Attentive, never pushy and numerous trips to the house to make sure everything would be perfect and showed us how to care for the stone and left some supplies with us, too. Great selection at the store, which was kind of a bad thing -- how do we choose?! But Mick and his staff helped through that, too. They even collaborated with our interior designer to get the right pieces for the kitchen, fireplace and bathrooms. Who does that? Open

Ventura Stone did  our kitchen counter tops and our two islands.   We used two different stones - superwhite and virginia mist.  Their work was beautiful and service was excellent.  We have received so many compliments from our friends and guests.  Thank you Mick and team!  We are now back working on the Master bathroom - can't wait to see the end product. My wife and I were quite particular about the counters that were to go into our house. We flip houses and are proud of the quality work including finishes that go into our houses. This being our own residence we took extra time to decide exactly what we wanted. We shopped around various stoneyards and settled on Ventura Stone. For one, they had the best price on the Taj Mahal quartzite that we bought, with another quality yard wanting 80% more for the same large slabs that we purchased. The professional service that the company rendered was excellent. Mick, the owner, has extensive knowledge and worked with us to insure success. Our job was not a cookie cutter since we were doing a kitchen with an island and a special desk with the same counter for my wife, an almost hundred inch bath vanity, an 8' fireplace hearth with an adjacent den cabinet. He had several meetings with us to select the slabs and then he expertly laid out the plans after the formal measurements were done. Thus,  we could see clearly the position of each part of the slab. Mick made sure we bought mirror image slabs from the same group and this enabled an excellent matching for the fabrication. All aspects of our experience were excellent. Making decisions for the remodel of my kitchen was fun, but it was also overwhelming at times.  I'm glad I went with Ventura stone. Mick was helpful in the selection process. He was very particular in the layout for the best presentation in my kitchen. Fabrication was flawless. Installation went very smoothly and on the date scheduled. A few days before installation, I went back in to choose stone for my fireplace. I happened to see another stone that I thought I might like better for my kitchen. Mick gladly got behind the wheel of the forklift and moved the new stone next to the original stone I was looking at so that I could compare. Even though Mick had already spent considerable time with me when choosing out the first stone and doing the layout, he made it seem like it was no big deal to change it out. I don't really know how to explain how great Mick and his team at Ventura Stone are. First of all, I was shocked that in our home town there is a stone/countertop company with this huge if a selection. We had been to LA twice to look at potential countertop stones and were happier with the service and pricing right here in Ventura! So....great pricing, excellent quality, professional installation. But the best part has been after their part of the "business" was done. You know- when most companies don't care about you anymore because they have been paid? Six months after purchase, We got rust stains from our soap dispenser (totally Unrelated to their product- our fault) and Mick had one of his guys come apply a product to remove it. When that didn't work Mick himself purchased a different product and came to our home to remove it himself! They are truly the most reliable of all the vendors we used for our home remodel.
